Loreto is surrounded by La Sierra Giganta, giant mountains that cut the sky as high as the sea is deep. Experience their rugged beauty with wildlife and endemic flora. The Canyon Tabor Tour (pronounced: ta BOAR) - I recommend this trip for people who love a walk in nature. Canyon Tabor has boulders and a rock wall to climb up, so I recommend that you be in good shape before you go on this hike time aprox 5.30 hours. MODERATE / DIFFICULT LAS PARRAS CANYON
Explore el camino real to the San Javier mission. This is a great place to hike for all ages. It is an easy and very pleasurable hike - usually with water - and there you can also enjoy bird watching. time aprox. 4 hours. MODERATE /difficult 
canyon mezquite. is easier than Tabor and more difficult than Las Parras. We walk up along the canyon rim, then drop down in the narrows walls of the canyon. Around every corner, more walls emerge. Explore the serenity of Canyon Mezquite. time aprox. 4. AND HALF hours. easy than tabor difficult Recommended Equipment: No less than 2 liters of water Snack Comfortable clothes and shoes for hiking (flip flops for later) Sunblock, hat or bandana, sunglasses Bug repellent Camera (and protection for it) Small backpack to carry your things. water shoes RECOMMENDED Bathing suit (optional) if you want to refresh in a natural pool Extra clothing in case you get wet, shorty wet suit.( there in the canyon mezquite the water is cold in the winter time). |
